Pause here before you enter your card details. Go through the questions below slowly and answer
them honestly. If you catch yourself saying “I don’t know” or “I’m not sure,” that’s a sign you’re not
ready to move money yet.
Ask yourself:
- What’s the real reason I’m not doing this in my home country? Is it only price, or is something else driving this?
- Is the money I’d save actually worth the extra travel and complication risk, or am I chasing the “Iscored a deal” feeling?
- In the worst case (unexpected complication, possible revision, swelling that drags on), can I handle it financially and mentally?
- When I get home, if I need help, do I have a local doctor I can realistically see, or am I gambling on the “no one wants to touch it” problem?
- Can I truly make room for both surgery and recovery with work, school, or family obligations?
- Do I feel pushed or rushed by a clinic, a coordinator, or an influencer?
- If I log off social media for a few days and revisit this with a clear head, does it still make sense?
Mini rule: If 3 or more questions make you think “I haven’t really considered that,” keep reading, but don’t pay anything yet.
